Professional Skills Test

If you are applying for a teacher training course, you will need to take the numeracy and literacy skills tests (professional skills test) as part of the application process, and ensure you have passed them both before the start of the course. You will be given unlimited attempts, the first three are free.  When you take the tests you will need to provide proof that you have applied for a teacher training course. You can book your tests in advance for a date by which you are expecting to have submitted an application.

Special arrangements such as 25% extra time when registering online for skills tests may be available.

You will need to contact LEARN DIRECT to book your tests.  We recommend that you do this as soon as possible when you make your teacher training application (or before), once you pass the test is valid for three years.
