We are delighted with the outcome of our recent Ofsted Inspection that took place in May 2023 and that Inspectors recognised “an ambitious curriculum, rooted in the provider’s values of ‘excellence, collaboration and inclusion” with our current and past trainees being great ambassadors for the course highlighting that the training is ‘brilliant preparation for the future’
“Leaders pay close attention to how the programme is organised. They ensure that each aspect is underpinned by the most up-to-date pedagogical research and thinking”
“Trainees place considerable value on these specialist sessions”
“High-quality specialist sessions build on trainees’ knowledge. Experienced phase and subject leaders guide trainees to apply what they learn to their own practice”
“Primary trainees are well prepared to teach early reading, including using systematic synthetic phonics. These trainees revisit each foundation subject throughout the course to deepen their understanding”
“Secondary trainees learn about practices that are unique to their subject, as well as enhancing their own subject knowledge”

RECRUITMENT DRIVE COMING TO THE EAST MIDLANDS – 9th May 2023
Programme of free events for people curious about teaching as a career and those ready to step into the classroom
A recruitment drive is coming to the East Midlands to encourage young people starting out in the world of work and those considering switching jobs to find out more about life as a teacher.
The free Get Into Teaching event aims to inspire more people in the area to join a profession that helps shape the lives of the next generation.
The Get Into Teaching East Midlands event will include opportunities to meet current teachers from local schools, talk to expert advisers, and connect with others interested in teaching. Information will also be available about how to fund your training – tax-free bursaries of up to £27,000 to train as a teacher are available in selected subjects.
It is part of a new programme of events taking place in different locations across England this spring, organised by Get Into Teaching, which provides a comprehensive programme of support to help people become teachers.
Post-graduate teacher training typically lasts one year, with new trainees starting courses each September. Applications to train from this autumn are now open.
Roger Pope, spokesperson for the Get Into Teaching campaign said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity to explore everything you need to know about a career that really does change lives and allow you to make your mark on the world.
“Anyone searching for a career that provides stability and progression opportunities can go along to find out more. You too could soon be joining thousands of others, tapping into your own talents and passion for a particular subject while witnessing pupils learn and flourish.”
At the event there’ll be hourly presentations, one covering the teacher training process and one giving practical tips on how to apply. Regional training providers will be on hand, alongside professional bodies offering scholarships. Other zones will allow visitors to meet the teachers and have one-to-one conversations with teacher training advisors. There will also be an area for practical advice on topics such as confidence to teach and career progression.
As a teacher you can help create a society where everyone, wherever they live, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, education or age has the opportunity to succeed. To find out more about the range of events being held and to register your interest in teaching, visit:
