The ART & DESIGN course has been carefully structured to guide you through your transformation from a skilled practitioner to a confident teacher, mentor and leader within a practical learning environment. Your choice to begin this course was just the beginning of your journey to learn and understand how to capture the observations and curiosity of young, aspiring artists.
You will become fluent in the language of the National Curriculum and relevant Key Stage 4 and 5 specifications and learn how coach and nurture aspiring artists through their exploration of all relevant knowledge, skills and understanding in ART & DESIGN. You must improve your subject knowledge to incorporate all foundation knowledge and understanding needed to support students in their learning of known artists, movements, cultures and designers as well as bring up to date knowledge of relevant contemporary practice and developments.
The aim of this course is to train you to be an ART & DESIGN teacher. The ART & DESIGN subject specific sessions will be taught predominantly at Bluecoat SCITT Alliance Nottingham.
