Bluecoat SCITT Alliance is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, as well as trainees, apprentices and leadership programme participants. All staff, and everyone involved in the Bluecoat SCITT Alliance trainee placements shares this commitment, and are therefore expected to behave in such a way that supports this commitment.
Appointment to our programme
Is subject to the following checks: health, identity, relevant work qualifications, right to work in the UK, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, references and a Childcare Disqualification Declaration (where applicable). A start date for successful applicants will not be confirmed until clearance from all the above checks has been obtained. Please note that the DBS check will reveal all convictions, reprimands, cautions and bindovers even if considered spent within the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. ADULT SAFEGUARDING & PREVENT
If you have any concern about the safety, wellbeing or welfare of a fellow learner, regardless of how small it may seem, please report it promptly to a member of the safeguarding team.
Early reporting ensures timely support and appropriate action.
If you notice behaviour that raises concern, report it.
